Guided Eco Tour of Weir River Estuary

  • 2 1/2 hours
  • Guided Eco Tour of the Weir River Estuary
  • $60.00 per person
  • 2 person minimum. Trips planned to your schedule by arrangement. Call for reservations.

All equipment is provided; light weight touring paddles, fitted life jackets, and a “dry bag” for your clothing, camera, and sunscreen. After an introduction to the kayaks and instruction in basic techniques, we begin a leisurely kayak journey through the salt marshes to the point where the fresh water of the Weir River empties into the bay.

We may stop to stretch our legs and look for rocks, birds and unique plants. Relax and savor the ambiance of the area. Want to go for a swim? We’ll explore the small islets and tidal back eddies of the Weir River estuary and view the beautiful shores of World’s End. You will learn some of the local history, geology, and ecology.

In these sheltered waters you’ll have great opportunities to view the diversity of marine life for which the area is famous. Given the abundance of wildlife, you’re sure to see many shore and sea birds, and likely to spot osprey, swans, geese, perhaps even a family of red foxes.

  • 1 1/2 hours
  • $25.00 per person
  • Each Wednesday evening in July and August.

Arrive after 6:30PM. Trip leaves at 7:00PM
